NIGHT measures helium escaping from the atmospheres of exoplanets. It takes starlight from a telescope, spreads a narrow slice of near-infrared light around 1083 nm into a very detailed spectrum, and records it on an infrared detector. This is the instrument with its lid off. Rotate the model and select the numbered components to see what each one does.
